The RCV series cutters have been especially designed for sub-sea ROV use. They feature hydraulically powered anvil pins for remote actuation. This enables the ROV operator to capture and sever the cable or wire rope via the manipulator arm. Once the rope has been captured by the closing of the anvil pin, a hardened steel guillotine blade is hydraulically driven through the rope. The blade is then hydraulically returned and the anvil pin retracted for the next cut.

The RCV115 cutter is primarily intended for use on wire rope having an ultimate tensile strength of 1770 N/mm2 (180 Grade) and will cut wire ropes up to a maximum 115mm (4-1/2”) diameter.

The RVC75 cutter is primarily intended for use on wire rope having an ultimate tensile strength of 1770 N/mm2 (180 Grade) and will cut wire ropes up to a maximum 75mm (3”) diameter.
